Over many years, John Paul “Bud” Endress has demonstrated his capacity for versatility, inventiveness and imagination in a number of fields including editorial illustration, advertising, photojournalism, portraits, still life, travel, and television. Endress opened his first studio in New York in 1964 after working with renowned photographers Irving Penn and Arnold Newman. Endress’ work in still life and special effects has set him apart stylistically. His distinctive commercial work with major international companies spans a career of over 40 years.

Recently presenting at one-man shows, his work has been widely recognized over the years: Art Directors’ Club of New York; American Institute of Graphic Arts; Advertising Club of New York; Communications Arts Magazine; Society of Publication Design; The Art Direction Magazine, among others. Currently, Endress works from his studio in northwest New Jersey, and continues his work in portraiture and commercial image-creation.
